Occasionally cats whose owners have died or have fallen on hard circumstances become available.  Often these are adult cats, sometimes with special needs, only occasionally kittens, but in all cases these cats need good loving homes.  These cats are not free, costs usually include covering low-cost spay/neuter, vaccinations, and transportation if necessary.  Nonetheless, they are typically much less than a pedigreed kitten purchased under normal circumstances.  Plus, there is the bonus of having rescued a cat who has fallen on hard times.    If you are interested, check  out other Siamese/Oriental Associated Rescue (SOAR) private sites, Meezerpleasers (Siamese and oriental Rescue),  Siamese Rescue, which often also has Orientals, these  Purebred rescue contacts. or the more inclusive  Feline Rescue Network for additional information.    Irwin shown above

In foster care in Pittsburgh: Tawny amd Tara:  Two spayed female Oriental Shorthairs, initially from Europe. One a ebony tabby (Tawny, below) the other a solid chocolate (Tara, no picture yet) They are about 8 yrs. old, can never be separated, Tara is more outgoing than Tawny. They were raised with kids and dogs. They are from excellent Euro lines (their previous owner said she paid $1,000 each for them). Tawny eats only dry food, Tara eats dry and wet.

They are both spayed/negative/and should still be current on vaccs. They  lost their home through a acrimonious divorce and move overseas.  They need a loving home together.  If you are interested, please e-mail   jwillis@bellatlantic.net

The two boys below, Murasaki (left) and sensei (right) are in foster care in PA .
They have fabulous personalities.

Mirasaki-Lavendar Tabby. Neuter, about 8 . Mirasaki is quite the conversationalist..he would probably do well with other cats, and yes I think a dog would be ok as well.He just had his dental and had to have a great big huge ball of wax teased out of his ear. His bloodwork all came back with
in the normal range. We've put some weight on him and he is lean and
gorgeous...no protruding backbone anymore. He just needs a home!!

Sensei: Cream Ticked neuter about 3.  Sensei needs a home most probably without small children as he tends to get
really nervous around them....just being in a room with them makes him runfor cover...they don't even have to look at him. I think it's the noise andthe sudden movements that unnerve him. Other then that he's GREAT like a cream boy should be! He would be fine with other cats and I think he would be ok with dogs too.  Maybe not small yippy ones, but larger & sedate would be ok. He also had a dental and some major tooth extractions, but that hasn't stopped his appetite! ;-)  He's also a very goodboy and all his bloodwork came back in the normal range.
