Thank you for accepting the challenge as researcher. Your work will be greatly appreciated.

Because of the scope and magnitude of the restoration of the documents, artifacts, and data, your Director of the Historical Society has decided to create four expert teams to explore and research the significant trends, issues, events, and policies during the 1920's. Each team will have one major theme to investigate.  The four historical themes, teams, and primary question to address for research will be the following:

Team/Theme:    Business/Labor
Primary question:  What changes/developments occurred in the American economy in the 1920's?

Team/Theme:   New National Culture
Primary question:  What were the forces transforming American culture in the 1920's?

Team/Theme:   Government
Primary question:  What was the role of the federal government in the 1920's?

Team/Theme:   Dissenting Values and Cultural Conflict
Primary question:  What tensions/conflicts developed as a result of the transformation of American culture in the 1920's?

The goal of each team is to synthesize important relevant information so that the Museum will have the proper documentation to restore its exhibit. Your team will be responsible for researching significant data related to one of the historical themes of the damaged Roaring Twenties exhibit. To assist your search you will need to use the Internet, history books, and journal articles.

Once all the teams have completed their research, each team will present its findings to the Director of the Historical Society. Each presentation, in Powerpoint or web based format, must successfully answer the primary question.
