- does not take sides.
- is neutral.
- seeks a fair outcome.
- considers the rights and interests of all parties.
- seeks resolution through mediation.
The Ombudsperson cannot change or ignore YSU rules. The Ombuds does not testify, arbitrate, or participate in any formal grievance or legal process.
