Hi everyone!

I am Mikaella, a second year RA here at YSU.  I am senior Human Resource Management major who hails from the Youngstown/ Boardman area.  I lived in New York City for a year and I love to travel.  I am an only child but you will often hear me refer to my many sisters in Alpha Xi Delta.  Also, I am or have been involved in campus ministry, Student Government Association, multiple honor & service organizations, and more.  So, if you want to get involved on campus (which I sincerely hope you do), just ask.

At first, I liked YSU because it was at home and it was affordable.  Now, YSU is my home.  There are so many great programs and it really is a convenient campus.  I love that we are always trying to expand and improve, even through our hardships.  I love being able to see the amazing shows put on through Dana and cheering on our phenomenal athletes.  We can be proud of many different things on this campus.  We do not just specialize in a certain area; we strive to be the best in everything.

As for Housing and Residence Life, it is a unique experience with infinite opportunities.  You will soon learn that your floor, your hall, and your entire college experience can be whatever you want to make of it.  I am here to facilitate community through communication, programs, bulletin boards, and all other possible ways.  That means, I will be taking my lead from you.  So, speak up and be heard.  We can and we will have a great year with a great community.  I look forward to every day being a new experience.  I hope you do too.
