Why an RA/RPM: I have been a Peer Mentor for four years and a Residential Peer Mentor for three.  Living with my students in the residence halls provides a great opportunity for me to get to know my students both academically and socially so I know how best to help them!  I have always enjoyed helping others and the RPM position was a unique opportunity to work with both commuter and housing students.  This job has helped me decide to pursue a Masters Degree in Higher Education, and I cannot wait to make this my career!

What I like about YSU: I absolutely love the experiences YSU has afforded me.  This university has allowed me to grow as both a student and a person and I have learned lessons I know have made me a better individual.  Because YSU is a smaller university, I have been able to make connections with faculty and staff and these relationships have presented me with exceptional academic opportunities.  I have also been active among the student community through the many campus organizations.  Getting involved is so important to make time at YSU enjoyable and I would definitely recommend participating in at least one organization!  Being a student at YSU has been an invaluable experience, and I am so pleased I decided to attend YSU for my undergraduate degree!
