Major: Forensic Science Email: mtmeepegama@student.ysu.edu To all my residents at YSU, Hi! My name is Mihiri, but you can call me Mia. I am an RA at Kilcawley House. The 2010/2011 academic year will be my third year here at YSU; studying for my Bachelors Degree in Forensic Science. I am from Sri Lanka, which is an island of the southern coast of India. You will see me around campus, but mostly in Cushwa hall and Ward-Beecher hall this semester; as all my classes are between those two halls. If you see me around don’t hesitate to say hi. I love watching movies and just hanging out with people. So if you’re ever bored come find me! Youngstown State University is a great campus. It is big enough to give you the chance to experience a quality education, while being small enough to keep it at a personal level. Living in on-campus housing further enhances your college experience. The Housing department at YSU puts all its efforts into taking care of the residents (you) and making their experience a good one. This is where I come in! There are over 500 students living in the residence halls at YSU. The Housing department has hired RA’s such as myself to make sure that the individual needs of each and every resident is taken care of. When I am not in class, you can find me in my room, in the lounge on my floor, roaming around the building, or on certain nights working at the front desk. If you need any help getting to know the services offered by other campus departments, or have trouble finding your way please come and find me. I am here to help you out. While living in Kilcawley if any problems arise be it; with your roommate, the quality of the area around you, or you just need a friend to talk to, do not hesitate to come find me. I am a good listener and once again, I love helping you out! As your floor RA, I am here to make sure your living environment is stress free. I will also be holding programs every month which will help you build bonds between the rest of your floor mates. It will also be an opportunity for you to relax and have some fun, away from the pressure of your studies. Your feedback on my programs are always welcome; if you want me to hold a program which you think would be better let me know and we can work something out! I look forward to living with you and I am excited to meet you all. Let’s make this an amazing year! Mihiri
