Greetings!
As the President of
our local Chapter 143, I extend my warmest wishes to all members of YSU and our
community. It is truly an honor to collaborate and learn with you. As an honor
society, Phi Kappa Phi consistently draws people who inspire dignity, courage,
and strength of character. I am grateful for this opportunity to nourish our
creativity, exchange ideas, share diverse talents, and recognize outstanding
contributions. Participating in Phi Kappa Phi activities connects us to the
“love of learning” on many levels.
Honoring our strong commitment to serving the community, Chapter 143
enthusiastically adopted the Juvenile Justice Center of the Mahoning Valley
in 2005. To launch this initiative, Chapter 143 hosted an inspiring
luncheon at the McDonough Museum in November 2005.
Our celebration is
ongoing. Please view the Phi Kappa Phi display on the second floor of Kilcawley
Center. We hope you can join us in March 2009 for our annual initiation banquet
in the Chestnut Room. At the ceremony, we will recognize the
outstanding achievements of students, faculty, alumni, and administrators at YSU.
The special contributions of individuals in our community will be honored as
well.
We are always
seeking volunteers who can offer valuable expertise, time, and energy to
assist with chapter projects. Please contact Dr. Tammy King (Criminal
Justice, & Chapter 143 President, at
taking@ysu.edu or 330-941-3278) if you are interested in volunteering for
any of our activities.
