Article I. Name.

Section 1.

The Name of this student organization is the YSU Gaming Guild.

Article II. Purpose.

Section 1.

To provide mentally stimulating activities for students.

Section 2.

To provide and encourage challenging and interesting diversions as a form of stress management.

Section 3.

To promote social activities between students, faculty, alumni, staff and the local population.

Section 4.

To serve the community by sponsoring events to provide young people with activities that are mentally stimulating and safe.

Section 5.

YSU Gamers Guild is a non-profit organization.

Article III. Membership.

Section 1.

Membership will be open to all YSU students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Section 2.

YSU Gamers Guild events will be open to members and non-members.

Article IV. Meetings.

Section 1.

Meetings will be held on a weekly basis on the YSU campus.

Article V. Events.

Section 1.

Events will be held on the YSU campus.

Section 2.

Events will be open to the public.

Section 3.

Profits from any and all events will be used to further the YSU Gamers Guild or donated to charity.

Article VI. Executive Committee.

Section 1.

The Executive Committee will consist of all officers and any faculty or staff advisors.

Section 2.

The Executive Committee will meet on a monthly basis.

Section 3.

Officers of this organization shall be students in good standing at YSU.

Section 4.

Officers of this organization shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Section 5.

Members of the YSU Gamers Guild shall elect officers of this organization on a yearly basis.

Section 6. Responsibilities.
a. Appoint special committees.
b. Administer the budget for the organization.
c. Determine events and activities to sponsor and organize.
d. Maintain the focus of the Organization to the stated purposes in Article II.

Article VII. Officers, Duties and Responsibilities.

Section 1. President.
a. Preside over regular meetings of the YSU Gamers Guild.
b. Represent the YSU Gamers Guild as official spokesman.

Section 2. Vice-President.
a. Assume the responsibilities of President if the President is unavailable.
b. Responsible for coordinating special events and projects of the group.

Section 3. Secretary.
a. Responsible for recording minutes of the YSU Gamers Guild meetings.
b. Responsible for adhering to all University Regulations concerning student organizations.
c. Responsible for maintaining the YSU Gamers Guild Constitution and Bylaws.

Section 3. Treasurer.
a. Responsible for all financial records of the YSU Gamers Guild.
b. Collect dues and maintain each member’s financial status in the YSU Gamers Guild.
c. Submits a financial statement to the organization at each regular meeting.
d. Prepare for Student Government an annual budget request and is familiar with student organization funding rules.

Article VIII. Amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws.

Section 1.

Amendments to the constitution and bylaws shall be submitted in writing to the Secretary.

Section 2.

All amendments shall be debated by the membership at a regular meeting of the Organization.

Section 3.

All amendments to the Constitution shall require a two-thirds majority vote by all members of the Organization.

Section 4.

All amendments to the Bylaws shall require a majority vote by all members of the Organization.

Article IX. First Meeting Agenda.

Section 1.

Nominations for Officers will be taken and voted upon.

Section 2.

The President will present the Constitution and Bylaws to the Organization and it will be voted upon.
