Designing Our Future in the 21st Century:

The Centennial Strategic Plan of Youngstown State University

Welcome to the Strategic Planning Website.  In 2001-2002, YSU developed a strategic plan to guide the University to its centennial year, 2008.  At this website, you will find an overview of the strategic planning process, as well as periodic progress reports; links to related plans and projects, such as the Technology Master Plan and Sungard SCT (Banner) implementation, known as the YES project; and links to mission, vision, assessment, and other documents related to ongoing planning at the University, college, and department levels. We thank all who contributed to the University's planning processes and invite your continued interest.

Special thanks to the 39 individuals who served on the Strategic Planning Committee; to the additional 46 people who served on the ten strategic planning subcommittees; to the 100 community and University members who attended the Strategic Planning Input Breakfast on January 28, 2002; and to the many individuals and constituencies, both on and off campus, who provided thoughtful input throughout the planning process. Thanks, too, to all those who participated in related planning efforts such as the Technology Master Plan and the Enrollment Management Plan.
